We focus on environmental problems and challenges from the perspectives of natural resource economics and ecosystem degradation. The rapid rate of urbanization in Africa in particular has led to massive deforestation and indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources and extraction is of concern to us. Our other research activities include but are not limited to environmental and natural resource economics, urban pollution and environmental management systems, environmental sustainability issues, socio-cultural and political issues in environmental pollution and extreme weather events/disasters. We also focus on environmental governance such as natural resources, governance and politics.
